FOUNDER
ANGELO "MIKE" RAIMONDI, PLS
Principal
Mike founded Scituate Surveys in 1980. As president of the firm, he is responsible for operations management, design oversight, and representation of clients at public hearings. He is a seasoned guide, assisting our clients through the bureaucratic labyrinth to obtain environmental and subdivision permitting approvals. Additionally, Mike has supervised thousands of Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (OWTS), many of which use leading edge septic system technology. Mike’s thirty years of land surveying experience is supplemented by his background in electrical engineering, civil engineering, and top-secret aerial and electronic reconnaissance for the United States Navy. His licenses include a Class II (Septic) Designer’s License and a Class IV Soil Evaluator’s license, which enables him to determine water table design depth year-round.

JULIE M. RAIMONDI, PLS
President
Julie was exposed to the land surveying profession at an early age through the family business, where seasonal Professional Land Surveyors including her father (Angelo M. Raimondi), John Mensinger, and John McDonough instilled in her the values of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail. After a former career in academia (from which she gained a love of research), she decided to pursue the profession. She completed her coursework in land surveying at the University of Maine.

She finds land surveying to be a healthy mix of research, theory, design, math, conceptual thinking, environmental protection, and practical analysis, and likes that it involves partnerships with state and local agencies in ways that keep things current. She enjoys solving the kinds of problems that are inherent in land surveying, like piecing together the complicated geographical puzzles that arise from conflicting spatial definitions over different eras in Rhode Island history.
